A New Pulse Train Generator Toolkit is Developed
Graduates of Yerevan Polytechnic University have developed a toolkit, which is capable of creating trains with different types of pulses and delays based on hardware.
In certain tasks, some devices are used, that are designed for operating in the pulsed mode, like: radar receivers, semiconductor devices and components. Checking the power parameters (Such as: current, voltage etc.) is not enough to characterize those devices and therefore there is a need for a device like pulse generator, which creates pulsed signals and allows to check devices in those operating modes.
The developed pulse train generator is used for testing semiconductor devices, radar receivers and RF components.
The developed toolkit is a ready-made set of virtual instruments that allows to generate pulse train, change the pulse frequency, record and read pulse data to a file, and simulate radar signals for the corresponding receivers.
An intuitive user interface allows using the system in a manual mode as a stand-alone device, as well as an API, that can be used as a subprogram of large software for automated testing systems, radar signals simulators, etc.
