A New Automated System is Developed to Test Bundled Cable Harnesses

Graduates from the Yerevan Polytechnic University have developed an automated test system that allows to control the quality of cable harnessеs. The system is intended for automated test of cable harnesses for short connections, connections of cables in accordance with the schematic connections, and to measure insulation resistance.

The system is equipped with an uninterrupted power supply, which provides proper protection of control equipment from voltage surges in the power network. For convenient use and easy transportation in buildings, the system is mounted in a special rack on industrial wheels. The system also has a built-in LCD monitor with keyboard and mouse drawer.

The advantages of the developed system are: the possibility of simultaneous monitoring of various parameters, the acceleration of obtaining results during the output control of products in combination with high speed and accuracy, as well as reducing the time and effort required to install and setup equipment, which is an important factor in testing.

The system can be used in such areas, where cable harnesses are used to test wiring in the transport industry, aircrafts, helicopters, ships, etc.
